American Lesbians Sentenced to 25 Years in Prison in Kuwait

US soldier Monique Coverson and her girlfriend Larissa were sentenced to 25 years in prison in Kuwait for being lesbians, according to Coverson’s mother Michelle Jackson. The couple were arrested on drugs charges, which Jackson claims were fabricated because the pair are lovers. A Change.org petition has been created urging the US government to “do whatever it can” to get the pair out of jail and back to the US.
